Check Lists in HeavyBid
Estimating is complicated. Keeping estimating teams is not just a challenge; it can be a nightmare. Checklists can tame workflows and prevent errors. A book I read long ago, The Checklist Manifesto:How to Get Things Right by Atul Gawande, who is a doctor (it is a great read by the way), really reinforces the need for checklists in today’s complicated world. He pioneered surgical checklists that have likely saved countless lives from preventable errors. Estimating, especially for large projects, is complex. Watch the Youtube video I did a while back on this feature and download my sample spreadsheet and revise to fit your company’s process.
Suggestion: Once you are using this feature, make it more accessible to your team. Have each member add Checklists to their Favorites bar in HeavyBid.
