The Advanced System is certainly robust and a good fit for many users. However in HeavyBid Version 2015 the new Audit Trail was introduced for the Comprehensive Version that is a game changer. If your company has the Advanced Version the new Audit Trail could be the tipping point to upgrade to the Comprehensive version. It tracks individual changes to the estimate and allows milestones to be set. For example after the first internal estimate review a milestone can be set so that cumulative post-review changes can be tracked. How many times have you tried to track revisions on a spreadsheet? It is almost impossible to be accurate but with the new Audit Trail you just have to right click and send it to Excel and print out the result. So here is the question. If the Audit Trail could prevent one or two major mistakes a year would it be worth the upgrade? And think of the hours it could save in checking. This is not the only feature (I will cover others in another blog post) but Advanced system users, new or existing, should consider the Comprehensive Version.
