One of the major issues putting together a good estimate is taking into account the costs of exclusions for Subcontract items. It can get complex trying to get accurate costs comparisons as each subcontractor for the same folder can be very different on what they are covering in their quote. Just as important is what are they are excluding from their scope. To get a good comparison (apples to apples) there is a tool in HeavyBid but it resides in the Self Perform analysis. Now it is not really a self perform versus sub analysis but to get to the tool called “Subcontractor Scope Adjustments”.
