The export to Accounting routine is a hidden gem in HeavyBid. The HeavyBid programming team has been working on the current export for over 10 years and what it can do for you is nothing short of amazing. This module is a testament that HCSS could have probably done something much simpler but this is one of those routines that sets HeavyBid above all its competitors. And all three versions of HeavyBid have the same export feature! So if you are exporting to Excel and doing a lot of work in a spreadsheet you owe it to yourself to watch these two videos and see all the things you can do in the routine. Just to name a few of its features:

  1. Manipulate the create of the accounting cost code (like combine bid item + activity code or make the code a certain number of digits long etc)
  2. Assign a cost code for the Bond
  3. Assign a cost code for any EOE component
  4. Assign a cost code for Addons
  5. Combine any number of Activities so that it exports as a single item and change the quantity and description for that item
  6. Extract any resource and assign a cost code (for example take all the bedding stone and assign a single cost code)
