If an estimator is not careful they can use the wrong list of material (not the JV list) and create a lot of work for someone prior to the joint venture first reading. So for certain estimates, the default should be the Local Codebook. HeavyBid has a solution &#8211; just set the preference to look at the Local Codebook. Go to TOOLS&gt;PREFERENCES&gt;ESTIMATE&gt;ESTIMATE ENTRY and click on the option &#8220;Local Material\/Other Resources&#8221;.
