Melissa and Aaron always do a good job on the webinars. As you will see in the video, the majority of features in all updates from here on out will center on PreCon and Estimate History, and their integration with HeavyBid Desktop.

Here is a screenshot showing the improvements discussed

There is a new Bid Proposal engine that is released although I have not tried it yet. It is discussed in the video. This will be the start of this feature so many improvements expected to come.

Aaron covers what is coming in Version 2026.0 also with the warning that Classic Export to Accounting will be sunset. If your company is using this version to export to accounting call HCSS and they will migrant you over to the new export to accounting. I really don’t know why companies are still using the Classic export as all these features and more are in the current export.

There was a question during the webinar on how subs can submit prices to HeavyBid. Aaron covers that in detail in the webinar as this feature is not available yet.

Aaron does a quick look at HB Web. He did say that there will be the ability to work in a “hybrid” mode where estimators can work both in HeavyBid Desktop and HB Web. After the webinar I discussed this (via text) with Aaron and he did not mean that someday there will be the ability to work in the same estimate in both Web and Desktop. However as Web develops companies who use Desktop will also have the option to utilize Web as a separate way to estimate.

Stay tuned as 2026 will see a HeavyBid Web and PreCon will be the center of HCSS focus.

HCSS did this webinar but it has not posted to HCSS Academy yet.
