I was training at a large national contractor this week and at lunch one of the experienced HeavyBid users remarked that he wished in HeavyBid you can exclude the % biditem from the calculation. In other words he wanted to maximize the biditem to a percentage of the total bid less the % item which in this case was the mobilization item. Of course, I said there is that option and showed him the following in Tools>Preferences>Estimate

So in his case, he wanted the option “Percentage of Non-Percent Items”. This can be changed on an estimate-by-estimate basis since it is in the “Estimate Preferences” section.
