Texas DOT 2020 Historical Prices
I go to Texas frequently for training and I know there are many HeavyBid users that bid on TXDOT work. You can download the historical prices from TXDOT and use them in HeavyBid. After you import the bid items from the ICX file downloaded either from the TXDOT website or Whitley & Siddons (LINK) site then you can merge to bring in the Average Unit Price into the estimate that can be viewed in the Price Screen when pricing. Also, it gives you a quick Greensheet total after a few adjustments (like to Mobe) that can be used for a preliminary bond total. You can download it also but for some reason at least at the TXDOT site, they put an extra space in the code (2 spaces between the two groups of numbers) instead of one. The merge then does not work. I took out the extra space in the code to make it compatible with the import file.
You can download the file here and if you are unfamiliar how to import it into the Biditem Codebook using Exchange then call Support at 1-800-444-3196.
For all TXDOT contractors I highly recommend the Whitley & Siddons subscription.
Where can I see this price? Right in the Pricing Screen. In the Pricing Screen clock on customized twice and select the option “average price” to see it.
