Sometimes, a subcontractor will quote a total for their item or items. You don’t have to use your calculator (if you can find it) and calculate the unit price. Not too many releases ago HCSS added the feature, so you can just input the total, and HeavyBid will calculate the unit price. Since unit prices are to 4 decimal places, the result might not be to the penny. To enter the total price, click on the “Extended Prices” button, and then the field for the total will change so that you can enter a total for that item. Not obvious but it works well.
