Network Issues – Open Files
If you are having performance issues on your network with HeavyBid, you should check to see of you have any open HeavyBid files on the server. These can occur when there are issues with the HeavyBid update install or a variety of other ways but if these files are permanently open they can slow down the response time of HeavyBid. First have everyone log off of HeavyBid and go to User Admin in HeavyBid and make sure no one but you are in HeavyBid. Then exit HeavyBid. You will have to log onto the server and then go to Computer Management. Go to Shared Folders and then to Open Files and you will see many open files as there are other applications likely being used. Scroll on down the list and if you see a lot of HeavyBid files these need to be closed. Right click on all HeavyBid open files and close them. Next logon to HeavyBid and run a System Wide reindex to make sure there are no other file issues.
