I know from my travels that there are many of you that love the highly venerated Hewlett Packard scientific and programmable calculators. It was the HP 41 that set the stage for the surveying data collector revolution and it was HP that birthday the Silicon Valley revolution. I have two physical HP calculators right now and would have more but employee (one of my sons who we will call William) followed my instructions and sold them on Ebay! Now I regret letting them go but I digress. I found a free IOS and Android based HP 42S program that is really cool. You can download programs and a manual. Did you know there was an online HP Calculator Museum? On a Iphone (which I have) under apps do a search for “Free42”. Below is a link to the web page where there are information and links to download programs and a link to the HP Calculator Museum! Yep gather the kiddos and explore the museum.

Wait! There is more. I found a company making clones of HP Calculators. Now they are not cheap but for those of us who love and us RPN based calculators, it is a bargain.
