HCSS has just rolled out its new option for its many software products. This is the SAS model (Software as a Service) where a company is paying a monthly usage fee as opposed to purchasing the software which requires a much larger one-time outlay. For HeavyBid the licenses are concurrent so you can have 4 HeavyBid licenses but 10 people can use it. This is only for HeavyBid as all other products are sold as individual licenses. HeavyBid can still be purchased outright but this does give a new customer another option to maybe start with Advanced Version of HeavyBid instead of the Basic Version since there is a much smaller upfront investment. Fee includes support and maintenance. And for $45 per month-license they can upgrade to the Comprehensive version. What does it mean to existing HeavyBid customers? Not much as you already own HeavyBid and if you want to add seats you will remain under the older purchase model. But let’s say you have another company not currently using HeavyBid but under the corporate umbrella and HeavyBid will be purchased by each corporate entity. I would think HCSS would allow the new company to go under the SAS model since it will be a separate licensing entity. See the link below but if interested I would just call your HCSS salesperson. They know HCSS products well and are excellent at finding the correct software configuration for your company.
