It does sound pretty humorous, but I have met so many HeavyBid users that we were just told to learn HeavyBid with no real direction. Maybe on another blog, I will discuss the downfalls of learning HeavyBid on your own but today, let’s say your boss gave you a login to HeavyBid and 10 minutes of instruction. Now you are deer in the headlights. First, be aware your boss probably learned HeavyBid the same way and doesn’t know what he or she doesn’t know. I suggest appealing and asking if you cannot take HeavyBid 101 either in person or remotely. It will get you up and running much quicker and save the company money. Here is an article on what will be covered in the 101. LINK

But if that doesn’t work, then it is HCSS Academy time. If your boss doesn’t know about the Academy, then insist that an HCSS Credentials account be set up for you so you can access this great resource. Yes, it is not organized very well, so I would start with the “Estimator” track. After you have some HeavyBid experience under your belt, return to the Academy and check out the rest of the videos and webinars.

Another option is to ask for a one-day remote session with a trainer and maybe have your boss sit in. You can contact me but I restrict remote sessions to no more than 3 people and they have to be in the same room. Not ideal but with this option the current estimate is reviewed while the training takes place.

So there are options that are very cost-effective to learn HeavyBid.
