I am seeing more requests from my customer base to train new estimators. I have a confession: I don’t like training new estimators who are not at least familiar with HeavyBid. Have new estimators joining the company that are new to HeavyBid? Consider having them take the Heavybid 101 Remote training. They get formal beginner classroom training that reinforces basic concepts of HeavyBid. After the training have them have them work in TreeView inputting costs with someone checking their work as they progress. Then schedule with me two or three days where I am training the entire estimating team and now everyone will benefit from the training. I rememeber I was training a group at one of the largest companies in the US and in the first five minutes they started laughing as it took that long to solve something that had been irritating them for a long time. As one chief estimator remarked to me recently, “we don’t know what we don’t know”. I can solve that.
